Dr. Satterwhite, or “Dr. Bill” as he is fondly called by many of his little patients, is a kind and compassionate lawyer-turned-pediatrician who listens to patient and family concerns and explains complex topics in clear, easy-to-understand ways. His skills are so sought after that some patients drive up to an hour to see him. He is kept humble, however, by his wife of 25 years who regularly reminds him that she would “never drive that far to go to a doctor, no matter who he is.”

Bill’s commentaries are insightful and relevant. I always enjoy his personal, real-world examples.

One of the most helpful lessons we gained from this podcast is the confidence to do a successful time-out. We had the right intentions, but we lacked the knowledge of the “why” and “how” behind the process. Dr. Satterwhite’s teaching on this subject gave us the support (and trouble-shooting guide) that we needed to teach our son what is expected of him and what his consequences are when he chooses to disobey us. It’s been very freeing for all of us! Thanks, Dr. Satterwhite.

After my active twin boys turned 1. I know I listened to this podcast at least 8-12 times. It was amazing how changing one simple phrase made the BIGGEST difference in the way they behave. Time out has been the easiest and most effective source of infomation as well. THANK YOU!!!
