Dr. Satterwhite, or “Dr. Bill” as he is fondly called by many of his little patients, is a kind and compassionate lawyer-turned-pediatrician who listens to patient and family concerns and explains complex topics in clear, easy-to-understand ways. His skills are so sought after that some patients drive up to an hour to see him. He is kept humble, however, by his wife of 25 years who regularly reminds him that she would “never drive that far to go to a doctor, no matter who he is.”

I found this podcast helpful as it addressed many different sleep approaches that I have read about. I like that it found a middle ground with several approaches instead of choosing one and only one approach. We have been putting the strategies into play with our daughter since she was 2 months old and have been very pleased with the results we’ve had. She is now approaching 4 months and after her bedtime routine, we place her in her crib awake and typically don’t hear from her again until her night feeding time. It has certainly made our nights much more peaceful.

My husband and I both found this podcast particularly helpful during a time when we thought our 3 month old would never sleep through the night! Listening to it together helped us both get on the same page as far as establishing a bedtime routine. The podcast is also great because it doesn’t just inform the listener on what to do, it also gives background on why the listener should follow the objectives. We have been using the strategies for two months now, and our five month old daughter sleeps through the night from 8:30 until 7:00. I highly recommend this podcast for any parent of a 2 to 4 month old.

I found this podcast extremely beneficial for my 2 1/2 month old. The information is both comforting and helpful. We are currently trying Dr. Bill’s advice and can already tell a huge difference in my son’s ability to put himself to sleep. We are not there yet but as Dr. Bill advises in the podcast, it is a process. I am relieved that there is good, solid, researched based information available to parents without making parents feel guilty if a certain approach may not suit the baby and family needs. I am encouraged by the advice and information provided by this podcast.

All you need to know about sleep! My husband and I found Dr. Bill’s sleep podcasts extremely helpful. Neither one of us have the time to read all the books about sleep – his podcasts tell you all you need to know! Thanks, Dr. Bill!

This podcast is very helpful in explaining this critical time for a baby. It quickly gives great information about how to support your child in becoming a good sleeper by explaining developmental changes and different methods to assist with sleep. Thank you for the help!
